1.  Are the songs on "PHASER ROCK: ALL FIRED UP!" available on CD?
No, not right now.  We might release the album on CD at some point in the future, but for now, it is much more technologically efficient and ecologically considerate to use on-line digital distribution.  Please visit iTunes to download the album.

2.  Is that really the guy from the TV show actually singing?
No, it's just a wacky comedy bit.  The PHASER ROCK singer, LIEUTENANT SOLO, is actually a comedian named Mark Jonathan Davis.  The character voices on this album and website are parody impersonations, and not performances by the original actors.  The original actors have not participated in nor collaborated on these recordings.  This material is fictional and any similarity to characters or persons is strictly coincidental.  Celebrity Voices Impersonated!

3.  Where have I heard this impersonation before?
You probably heard Mark Jonathan Davis impersonating this character on the KROQ 106.7 FM Kevin & Bean Morning Show in Los Angeles, on the air and on their holiday CDs.  You can hear some of those radio bits at MJD's Intergalactic Comedy Hacienda website by visiting mich.ideatown.com (link opens in new window).

4.  Why are the songs so short?  The album on iTunes is only 15 minutes long, that seems like a rip-off for $9.99.
Yeah, you're right.  Don't buy it.  Phew, you almost spent ten whole dollars.  Whoa, that was a close one.

5.  Do you have to get permission from the original artists to use their songs?
We aren't required to get permission to record the songs, but we are required to obtain licenses to sell the songs via digital downloads, and we are also required to pay a royalty for each song use to the original song's publishers.  For each song on the album, we pay the publisher 9¢ per download sale.  More info about this process can be obtained at www.songfile.com.



6.  Will there will be live concert performances of these PHASER ROCK songs?
Possibly.  Please check the "EVENTS" page for appearance schedule.



7.  Are there more albums planned?
Yes.  The next PHASER ROCK albums will be called "Bridge Over Troubled Water," "The Unforgettable Fire," and "Highway To Helm."
